Idli podi with fried onions

This is not actually a recipe as such but a different way of having your usual idli podi. We in home and particularly me love this way of having idli podi. The fried onions give a lovely nutty, earthy flavor and a good crunch to the idli podi. This idli podi along with this 'Mint coriander tomato chutney' is a great thing to pack for travel.

Heat enough oil in a kadai. Add generous amount of chopped onions and little salt. Fry till the onions change color. Switch off flame. After the oil is cooled, add enough idli podi to the oil onion mixture and mix well. Relish it!
