Moong dal khichdi

My another favorite one-pot meal. Mildly flavored, tasty and very healthy. Another plus...can be made in a jiffy...Very satisfying even with just papad, pickle or raita. Or enjoy with some nice curry. Perfect for a lazy weekend. 


Ingredients
1 cup basmati rice
¼ cup whole green moong dal
1 medium sized onion
½ ts mustard seed, ½ ts cumin seed
¼ ts hing, ½ ts grated ginger
¼ ts turmeric powder, ¾ ts chilli powder. 1 ts pepper powder, ½ ts garam masala
Few curry leaves
