Chicken cooked in coconut milk and flavored with just the basic ingredients - ginger, garlic, red chilli powder and soy sauce. It tastes so good especially with any fried rice varieties. Goes well with roti too.
To marinate
250 gm chicken (on the bone)
3/4 ts chilli powder
1/2 ts Kashmiri chilli powder (optional)
1 tbs freshly grated ginger garlic
To cook chicken

1/3 cup thick coconut milk
For chops
1 tbs sesame oil
4-6 shallots (thinly sliced)

Preparation
- Marinate cleaned and washed chicken pieces with ginger, garlic, chilli powder and Kashmiri chilli powder for a minimum of 15 minutes.
- Pressure cook the marinated chicken along with thick coconut milk and necessary salt for one whistle in high flame and two more whistles in simmer.
- Heat some oil in a kadai while the chicken is getting cooked. Add the thinly sliced shallots and capsicum slices. Cook until they turn crisp. Now add the cooked chicken. Add the soy sauce. Now cook the chicken uncovered in simmer till the mixture gets dry.
